Get Stuff Done

An engineering team and an IT shop. AI-native by default.

We build software across the stack, integrate AI through the org, and operate the day-to-day.

Let's figure it out together No pitch deck. Just a conversation.
Engineering team + IT shop
AI-native by default
AI-enablement on request

Two functions. One team.

Operations

IT shop

The team that keeps everything running.

  • Device & identity management
  • Email, MFA, and access management
  • Onboarding & offboarding
  • Helpdesk & support
  • Security posture (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI operations)
  • Tool audits & rationalization
AI in the workflow Triage, ticket summarization, knowledge-base maintenance, and security signal correlation.
Build

Engineering team

The team that builds what's next.

  • Frontend, UX, and design systems
  • Backend, APIs, and data
  • Infrastructure & DevOps (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • AI integration & agent workflows
  • Mobile (web and native)
  • Security architecture & compliance design
AI in the workflow Code generation, review, design, debugging, documentation, and pair-programming throughout the day.

Foundation models are in the workflow.

// 01

AI is in our daily workflow.

Both arms use foundation models throughout the day. Engineering: code generation, review, design, debugging, documentation, pair-programming. IT shop: triage, ticket summarization, knowledge-base maintenance, signal correlation. The compounding effect is faster shipping, tighter code, and fewer false positives across the board.

// 02

Solution-driven, not feature-driven.

We frame the actual problem and ship the smallest solution that resolves it. The next layer gets built when the next problem appears, not before. Software stays shaped to the work, not to a wishlist.

// 03

We lead AI-enablement when that's the work.

When the engagement is bringing AI through your org, either arm can lead it. Copilot rollouts, model selection, agent workflows in your SDLC, governance and policy. We know what holds up in practice because we're running AI-native ourselves.

Listen. Scope. Ship.

01

We listen.

Tell us what you're trying to build, where the work is stuck, and where you want to be. We'll figure out together what the right shape of work looks like.

02

We scope.

We frame the actual problem and identify what to build, buy, or delegate. The engagement is shaped around the outcome you want, not a fixed bill of materials.

03

We ship.

Solution-driven development. AI-native workflow. Maintainable software, with documentation and transition packets included from day one.

This is the operations experience. You message us. We handle it. No portals to log into, no forms to fill out.

Shaped to the work.
Adjusted as the work evolves.

Project, retainer, or month-to-month operations rate, sized to your situation. Mission-driven orgs get aligned pricing on day-to-day operations specifically.

What's true on every engagement.

// 01

You own everything

Every line of code, every config, every document is yours from day one.

// 02

Senior people on senior work

The senior brand on the proposal is the senior brand on the work. Co-founder Shiraz holds the technical executive line on every engagement.

// 03

Trained to need us less

We actively teach your team to handle what they should be handling. The relationship runs on the value the team gains, calibrated to where you're going.

// 04

Plain language always

What matters and what can wait, stated explicitly. Audit-ready documentation, runbooks, and transition packets included on every engagement.

Common questions.

If you don't see what you're looking for, ask us directly.

What does GSD actually do?
We're a full-service engineering team. We build software across the stack, integrate AI through the org, run security and compliance, and operate the day-to-day IT. Co-founder Shiraz Karmaz also takes fractional CIO, CTO, and VP of Engineering engagements through the practice.
What kind of orgs do you work with?
Any org that needs engineering execution capacity. We have a strong nonprofit and B Corp practice with mission-aligned pricing on day-to-day IT operations specifically. The build, integrate, and secure work is sector-agnostic.
What does "AI-native" actually mean in practice?
Foundation models are in the daily workflow of every engineer. Code generation, review, design, debugging, documentation, agent integrations. The output is software shaped to fit the actual problem and built to be maintained. Not a separate AI line item.
Do you have HIPAA / SOC 2 / PCI experience?
Yes. Shiraz has led SOC 2 Type I and Type II programs to passing audits multiple times, HIPAA-regulated platforms at Thrasys and UpHealth, and PCI readiness at Trove Recommerce. For senior compliance leadership specifically, the fractional CIO engagement is the right entry point.
How is pricing structured?
Project, retainer, or month-to-month operations rate, shaped to your situation. Mission-driven orgs get aligned pricing on day-to-day IT operations specifically.
Do you require long-term contracts?
No. Engagements are shaped to fit the work, and adjust as the work shifts. Day-to-day operations is month-to-month always.
How quickly do you respond?
Same business day for active engagements. For new conversations, within a day or so.

Tell us what you're trying to build.

Project, integration, security, or day-to-day operations. We'll figure out shape on the first call.
